about
I wonder what it’s like to be you
Talking wasting everybody’s precious time
What was that face in the mirror saying
No I don’t remember
Words I speak are easy to forget
Slide on the common little numbers
Subtract to make a good impression
Slide on
Choke down the judgment you are never wrong
So busy looking outside ourselves
Lie back
It’s the only human way you have to answer
Lay back
It’s the only human way you have to answer
I wonder what it’s like to be dead
Acting in the only honest way we know
Those two minutes in the closet changed to years of being locked up
Now it’s time for breaking down the door
Climb out of mommy’s little pocket
Denial is your greatest weapon
Slide on and on
Lie back
It’s the only human way you have to answer
Lay back
It’s the only human way you have to answer

This album is amazing from start to finish! It's got such a cool, poetic, punk rock vibe. Hits the soul, for real. Please come play in Miami, Florida soon! Thank you for your art! richnice1975

A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
