She said I’ve got a habit of shaking it off too soon
Rounding up all the bottles to make this drunk last
In the twilight and your starry eyes they’re staring
In the twilight
Up in to a makeshift sky
And to wake up in a dream gets you thinking
Maybe nothing is what it seems when you’re held over
She said I’ve got a habit of making the day end
And these shoes get heavy
And it feels like dead weight
In the twilight
And your starry eyes they’re staring in the twilight
Up into a makeshift sky
And to wake up in a dream gets you thinking
Maybe nothing is what it seems when you’re held over
And empty bottles spread out on the floor
Still dizzy
Did you pay for it well
And glassy eyes
The two are not the same
While one is sleeping the other lays awake
And she said my mind is made up now
And she said nothing is what it seems
She said I’ve got a habit
This album is amazing from start to finish! It's got such a cool, poetic, punk rock vibe. Hits the soul, for real. Please come play in Miami, Florida soon! Thank you for your art! richnice1975
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
